Three days ago i got a scorpion on the side of my foot that wraps around my ankle. When i got it i only had boots so i wore those. I have been wearing socks, boots, and booties ever since. It has also been severely swollen like i have a giant foot! I heard people say that you are not supposed to shower or bathe with them for long periods of time. Was wearing boots the wrong idea? And how can i take care of it? I use A&D ointment twice a day by the way. . .

stop the a&d – you should only use that for the first day
let your tattoo dry out and then apply a light coating of unscented (lubriderm) lotion once or twice a day, only as needed
stop wearing booties and socks on it – you’re going to make the scabs come off prematurely and you wont have a good healed tattoo
wear loose clothes and try not to have stuff rub on it
a shower is fine, dont soak your foot, just make it a quick shower, and then get out and lightly pat the tattoo dry being careful not to rub it
take some tylenol or motrin for inflammation and swelling
You should definitely not be wearing enclosed shoes. Stop wearing shoes asap before it is properly scabbed. The tattoo is a wound and it needs to breathe. It is probably swollen because you sock is aggrivating it.
It is okay to get it wet in the shower, even to give it a gentle wash over with water (no soap or shower gel) and pat it dry carefully with a clean towel. After day 1 or 2 you should be using some unscented lotion to keep it moisturised. You know you can buy cream specialised for tattoos (ie, Protat, Tattoo Goo etc).
Do not scratch or pick the scabs/peeling in any way, because if those scabs come off before they are ready, they’ll pull out bits of the ink with them and you’ll end up with a patchy tattoo. Cream should be applied twice daily for about 2 weeks, then maybe once daily for a while after that. Then after about a month just your regular body moisturising routine will be fine. Remember that your tattoo needs to be protected from the sun, so no sun until she’s fully healed, then ample sunscreen after that.
P.S. Your artist should have given you a care sheet, give them a kick in the butt for that.
Why won't my body let me sleep for long periods of time tonight? Oh well, at least Tokio Hotel made an appearance in one of my dreams XD
- love love love my new tattoo…still a bit swollen and I was doing my hair haha #TwitPict
Wonderful. Thank you very much. Have had Plantar Fasciitis for a year now and am really sick of the pain. Trying some of these techniques. Thanks again

This is the definition of “one-hitter quitter”. This caviar is high-grade marijuana, with between 5 and 20 percent THC, infused with 30 to 80 percent THC hash oil. It also burns for long periods of time. This nice blend will set you back around sixty per gram, but it’s worth every penny. =)
